This Tahara tree is at least 170 years old and was used as a postal drop before there were any actual post offices in the area that was the parish of Revd Francis Cusack Russell in 1859 when he married my direct ancestors Harry & Catherine. Was the largest branch cut off on purpose? Is the tree protected now?
